Rehabilitation with work starting at the end of January 2022 and completed at the beginning of March of that same year.
As you can see in the photos, it was a typical village house that, despite its age, allowed for habitation. Our proposal was to extend the living room and integrate it with an open-plan kitchen, eliminating the narrow and small kitchen, as well as the bathroom located at the end of the kitchen. Thus, with the space left by removing the bathroom and kitchen, we would make an office and a laundry room, moving the bathroom to the large room, trying to leave it outside to make it independent.
Finally, we joined the two original dining rooms in the house, creating a large living room with an integrated kitchen, but instead of a breakfast bar as we had originally planned, we made an island with cupboards as you can see in the pictures. We moved the bathroom to the entrance hall to the large room, where there were originally two cupboards, one that belonged to that room and the other belonging to the old kitchen.
We converted the old bathroom into a private office for that room. We respected the spaces of the other room by integrating a built-in cupboard into it.
As you can see, we managed to create a very large living room by integrating the kitchen into the wall to save as much space as possible. Next to the kitchen, where part of the old kitchen was, we made a room for the washing machine with a cupboard and sink. The large room was left with a private office where the bathroom used to be, and we made the new bathroom at the entrance of that room with the space that was between the cupboard in that room and the one in the old kitchen. All the spaces were perfectly optimized, giving the result that we see.
